Dr Karolina Skorupskaite Carlyle MBChB BSc (Hons) PhD MRCOG [Chief Executive Officer and Founder]

Dr Karolina Skorupskaite Carlyle is a full time NHS Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at NHS Lothian.  Karolina has achieved her sub-specialist accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She is a graduate from the University of Edinburgh Medical School as well as 1st class BSc Honours awardee in Reproductive Biology. Karolina has excelled in research through securing a PhD in exploring the roles of kisspeptin and neurokinin B in controlling the human reproductive system. Her research has opened potential for the development of new medicines in follicle growth and ovulation, non-hormonal contraception and new therapies in menopausal hot flushes. Karolina’s work has been acknowledged by The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education award for innovations in women’s health. She has an established track record of publications, including The Lancet and Human Reproduction, as well as recognitions as Best Young Clinician, outstanding abstract and best clinical science paper award in numerous national and international meetings, such as ESHRE, the British Fertility Society and Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. Karolina is a member of the British Fertility Society guideline development group for the management of patients with endometriosis undergoing fertility treatment as well as fertility preservation in severe endometriosis.
